Multi-disciplinary Standpoints on Conflict Transformation Post Graduate Conference QUB Mitchell Institute 11 September 2017

Bridge of Hope was invited to speak about its grassroots dealing with the past initiatives at a recent Queens University Belfast post graduate conference on conflict resolution.

Bridge of Hope’s Legacy Coordinator Áine Magee spoke about local impacts of the Transitional Justice Grassroots Toolkit Programme along with programme partner Eilish Rooney from the Transitional Justice Institute at Ulster University.

The Transitional Justice Toolkit ‘Building Justice’ programme has been studied by at least 300 individuals since 2011.  Those who have taken part include local victims and survivors from across the region, former combatants, ex-prisoners, women’s groups, community activists and statutory stakeholders.

The QUB Mitchell Institute Post Graduate Conference examining Multi-Disciplinary Standpoints on Conflict Resolution took place on September 11, 2017 was well organised and attended. The key note address was given by journalist and documentarian John Ware.

Other presenters at the well-attended conference included Pat Finucane Centre’s Anne Cadwallader, Paul Gallagher from the Wave Injured Group and Sinn Fein policy advisor Sean Murray.
